Background

I am originally from the heartland of the country, Chicago, Illinois where I received my

undergraduate degree in psychology at Judson University. After completing my studies, I moved to Philadelphia to pursue my Master’s in Counseling at Cairn University where I began to grow as a therapist. My husband and I pursued our dream of living in Florida and being close to some of our favorite destinations. During my clinical career, I have experience working with survivors of abuse, foster care/adoption and community mental health providing services to children in local schools.

Outside of the office, I love spending time with my husband and twin boys going on adventures! We typically find ourselves exploring all Florida has to offer from theme parks, nature, beaches and everything in between.

Approach

I’m a therapist who is committed to helping individuals, families and children learn how to cope with the stressors of daily life. I have experience working with children (3-18

years old), families and individuals utilizing evidence-based approaches to meet each client’s goals. As a therapist, I am grounded in the Adlerian theory which uses techniques to emphasize therapeutic collaboration, insight, self-awareness and encouragement. I have received training in Adlerian Play Therapy, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Child Parent Relational Therapy (CPRT) and Mindfulness Therapy.
